Q: What is your organisation’s role in XMANAI?

A: TXT is the coordinator of the project and the exploitation leader carrying inside XMANAI its competence about industry 4.0 from Industrial & Automotive business unit and the technical competence of an end-to-end Large Enterprise provider of consultancy, software services and solutions, supporting the digital transformation of customers’ products and core processes (68,8M/€ revenues in 2020 and 1.000+ engineers). TXT is also deeply involved in the development of the XMANAI platform and instantiation into CNH and WHIRLPOOL end-users.

Q: How does XMANAI relate with your or your team’s background and interests?

A: XMANAI is deeply linked to TXT strategic objectives. From a market perspective TXT Line of Business Industrial works on manufacturing domain since more than 20 years, and is deeply investing in developing and instantiating into customers the best industry 4.0 technologies, the project will help TXT in developing new kind of solutions based on XAI. From the technological perspective TXT has recently created a strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analysis across the whole group and with the XMANAI there is the possibility to differentiate from competitors acquiring and developing competences on explainable AI getting a competitive advantage.

Q: What is the novelty of XMANAI and the main benefits envisaged for your organisation?

A:  As described in the project motto “Make AI Understandable” the novelty of the project is the focus on explain-ability and AI trust which will allow to overcome several limitation in AI adoption we are facing with customers. The possibility to explain how a decision has been taken will allow our data scientist to quickly optimise algorithms even if few data is available and to be able to prove how the system works providing technology trust and acceptance by the customer.

Q: Which target groups can benefit from XMANAI?

A: Data scientists will have at their disposal the first XAI platform and trained algorithms as well as success cases from end-users which will allow them to execute a fast XAI technology uptake and strong impact on their AI projects.

Q: As the project coordinator, how do you envision the XMANAI business potential and overall strategy to approach the market?

A: nowadays, everyone is talking about Artificial Intelligence; the technology is growing exponentially in terms of technical and impact with an enormous potential market and applications. XMANAI will exploit towards this market several tangible exploitable assets including the novel XAI platform and a set of XAI trained algorithms which are differentiating our offering being able to have a distinctive offering on the market based on explain-ability and AI trust.
